Nueces de Frubézar

The plantation of walnuts is located in Caceres, at the foot of The Gredos Sierra, where one of the largest private water resevoirs in the shire, containing 3 cubic hectometres, guarantees irrigation for 237,68 hectares of walnut trees.

It is a fairly new plantation, the first trees were planted in 2015, and it constitutes the tree variations of Chadler, Howard, Tulare and Galia.

The collection of walnuts is carried out using vibratory mechanisms. They are then washed and cleaned in the yard, afterwards, mechanically transported to the proccessing plant where they are washed again, dried, calibrated and selected for placement on the market, under the reglementary food guarantee, in the shortest time possible.

The farming methods of walnuts are very delicate and require complex techniques. The important role of the technicians and workers of Fruzébar assure that year after year this plantation obtains its best results and the expected quality. Our walnuts are cultivated with the highest demands and food quality possible, often higher than the normative stipulated in the majority of walnut producing countries.
